Richardson Properties LLC of North Little Rock announced on Thursday that the city's planning commission has approved its $150 million multi-family "The Pointe North Hills" development near Interstate 40 and North Hills.
Richardson Properties said it will build 960 luxury apartments, a 20,000-SF clubhouse, fitness center, resort-style pool, wine room, dog park and more.
"With every development, we strive to provide exceptional services and luxury amenities that no other apartment community in the state offers…I look forward to many more projects in the North Little Rock area," CEO Keith Richardson said in a news release. "The city actually seemed excited to approve our development that will bring thousands of highly paid, new residents into the North Little Rock city limits."
Margaret Maher, asset manager for Richardson Properties, said the developer planned to break ground on the project in early 2017 but didn't know yet when the apartment complex would be completed.
In July, the company purchased for $2.8 million the 64.5-acre tract bordered by Hwy. 67/167, Interstate 40 and North Hills Boulevard in North Little Rock.
Earlier this year, Richardson Properties spent $3.3 million on 69 acres along the south side of Olds Lane between Bowman Road and Brodie Creek in west Little Rock and $2.9 million on 65 acres at 12401 Olds Lane in west Little Rock.
Both properties are near The Pointe Brodie Creek apartments, one of four complexes managed by Richardson Properties.
Richardson also manages River Pointe Apartment Homes in North Little Rock, River Pointe North in North Little Rock and Bowman Pointe in west Little Rock.
Richardson is a member and co-founder of RichSmith Development, which owns and manages apartment communities in over 70 locations in Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Illinois and Louisiana.
