Renovations to four buildings on the 700 block of Main Street in downtown North Little Rock are nearing completion with three businesses set to move in.
The projects include the Koehler Building, a two-story building at 709 Main St., which includes a condo and apartment upstairs and ground floor commercial space owned by Alan & Diana New; and the Koehler Bakery Buildings, three structures with ground level commercial spaces and five loft apartments owned by 7th Street LLC.
Newmark Grubb Arkansas announced Thursday that leases have been signed for four residential loft apartments and three commercial spaces, leaving two ground level commercial spaces available.
Barry Thomas Studios 711A Main Street is one of the three new businesses.
"After traveling, painting and teaching around the world, it is nice to find studio space with great bones to hang my hat and lay my brushes in," Thomas said in a news release. "Argenta has that old neighborhood feeling in downtown North Little Rock and has created an environment that is a center for art, entertainment and urban living."
Ozark Escape LLC at 713A Main Street opened Oct. 29. The business hosts groups of people who solve puzzles to "escape" a room in a set amount of time.
"We have three different sizes of rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people, and our rooms are great for families, parties and company team building," co-owner Kim Stauss said.
The third new tenant is Mortgage Peer Network LLC at 715.5A Main St. The business provides technology to lenders across the country and analyzes customer satisfaction levels through surveys and data.
Mortgage Peer Network was one of 10 startups selected to participate in this year's Venture Center's FinTech Accelerator program, according to owner Greg Ellis.
The two commercial spaces available for lease include a 2,500-SF ground-level space at and a 1,980-SF space.
