The vacancy rate in the industrial real estate market in central Arkansas continued its decline in the second quarter of 2016, falling to 10.1 percent compared with 11.7 percent a year ago. “The central Arkansas industrial market finished another quarter with positive absorption,” noted Drew Holbert of Colliers International. “At almost 10 percent, we’re in one of the lowest vacancy rate environments in nearly a decade.”
“Quality product remains difficult to find, especially in flex and bulk product types; as a result, owners for the most part are still achieving asking rents. We expect this trend to continue and would not be surprised to see the vacancy rate fall to at or below the 10 percent threshold in the coming quarters,” said Holbert.
