Bentonville developer Jason Pullman said construction on a planned 11,300-SF retail center in Siloam Springs should begin in November after it gets approval from the city. The development will be across from the Walmart Supercenter on U.S. 412, just west of the Spring Valley Apartment complex. Pullman said he has had the property from a while and the time was finally right to proceed with developing it.
“We’ve held it for a long time,” Pullman said. “It’s pretty red hot out there. Its time has come.”
Pullman said he has been in discussion with at least two strong tenants to fill part of the center. He said nothing has been finalized so he couldn’t give more details about who might be moving in.
“It’s too early to say right now,” Pullman said. “It’s a couple of good tenants to get us out of the ground. We’re close to [announcing].”
Pullman said he was also close to breaking ground of his stand-alone project on Elm Springs Road in Springdale. Pullman, through his Refined Retail LLC, paid $1.2 million for 1.9 acres in front of the Walmart Supercenter at Hall Crossing in the summer of 2015.
Pullman is putting an 8,000-SF multi-tenant building and a single-tenant 3,500-SF building at the site. He expects to break ground in a few weeks, he said.
