Did you know ownership changes are visiting two notable duck hunting properties in western Arkansas County?

We first wing our way to Little Siberia, 14 miles southwest of DeWitt along the eastern bank of Bayou Meto.

Our Reydell bureau reports that a $5 million-plus deal is considered done but won’t officially close for a couple more months.

The pending transaction encompasses the 4,000-SF lodge and a 907-acre chunk of the Little Siberia hunting-agri spread.

We’re told the buyer-to-be is George Dunklin Jr., chairman of Ducks Unlimited and owner of the Five Oaks Hunting Lodge.

The Little Siberia ownership is divided among a group of Little Rock and Fort Smith businessmen.

Meanwhile to the north, our next stop is the green timber and fields west of Crooked Creek about four miles southwest of Stuttgart as the mallard flies.

A 598-acre piece of the Wild Wings hunting-agri spread sold in a summer transaction valued at $8.7 million.

The buyer is OCM Arkansas LLC, led by Little Rock lawyer Brian Reddick. OCM Arkansas also bought 325 acres of Wild Wings property for $1.3 million last December.

Mixed in with the deals are an additional 355 acres on the south end of Wild Wings Farms and the 10,920-SF lodge.

The seller in both transactions is Wild Wings Farms LLC, led by Walter Quinn.
